Fuego Uno Overview
Fuego Uno is a program designed for the independent camper, in which Fuego provides a Fuego Staffer to serve as the Group leader for 9 campers.
The Uno groups will be strictly Gender Specific and composed of either High School or Middle School students. In other words, if you have just completed 9th-12th grade you will be with other guys/girls who have also just completed 9th-12th grade. You will share a cabin as a group and you will have a specific Fuego Staffer with you all week, including church group time and other special Uno activities.
Payment is required at the time of application, but it will be refunded once the application is processed and accepted. Once the application is accepted the payment becomes non-refundable.
UNO FAQs
Will Uno Participants be in DGs?
Yes. You will be assigned to a DG as if you are at Fuego with a church. In other words, you will be in a DG with your specific grade.
Who will be in our cabin with us?
Your Cabin will consist of 8 other Uno Participants and one Fuego Staffer, who will be trained for this specific role. You will be in a dorm with other students of your gender, but your room will only be made up of the 10 of you.
How will I know if my Application has been accepted?
We will contact you within a week, either way. Due to the limited space, we are unable to accept every student. If you have not heard anything, or just have other questions, feel free to email us at info@campfuego.com
Is this available at the Texas Weeks?
No. The real reason is due to room sizes. We can only put a max of 6 in a room at ETBU, so we currently cannot accommodate the program on their campus. That might change in the future, but right now it does not work.
How/When do I get there?
We do not provide transportation, so you will need to arrange for drop off and pick up, but you can arrive at camp after 1:00pm on Monday and you will need to have your ride arrive by 9:30am on Friday (your family is welcome to attend the closing ceremony on Friday and they can help you move in to your cabin on Monday).
